Min Hee Jin, the former CEO of ADOR and the creator of the girl group NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein), has addressed the ongoing legal conflict with HYBE regarding the termination of their shareholder agreement.

Following the second hearing of HYBE's lawsuit against Min Hee Jin at the Seoul Central District Court's 31st Civil Division (Presiding Judge Nam In Soo) on April 17, Min Hee Jin's legal representative from Sejong law firm issued an official statement. The lawsuit seeks confirmation of the termination of the shareholder agreement between HYBE and Min Hee Jin.

In the statement, Min Hee Jin's team mentioned that they had submitted two written statements countering HYBE's grounds for termination, while highlighting that HYBE had not yet addressed their points questioning the legitimacy of the termination notice. HYBE had submitted three additional documents shortly before the hearing on April 11, 14, and 15, and Min Hee Jin's side plans to respond to these filings.

Emphasizing that the burden of proof falls on HYBE, Min Hee Jin's team stressed that HYBE must demonstrate that the shareholder agreement was terminated by their notice. They pointed out that HYBE's assertion of needing to provide concrete evidence after Min Hee Jin's response contradicts the legal principles of burden of proof in civil litigation, indicating that HYBE has the responsibility to substantiate their claims regardless of Min Hee Jin's rebuttal.

The full official statement from Min Hee Jin's legal team reiterated these points and provided details on the legal proceedings at the Seoul Central District Court. It outlined the submissions made by both parties and underlined the key issue of burden of proof lying with HYBE.
