Mark from NCT has recently been identified as the owner of a luxurious apartment worth 5 billion KRW (approximately $3.53 million) located in the upscale Nonhyeon-dong area in Gangnam, Seoul. The reveal comes after the huge success of his debut solo album, which has already made him a half-million seller.
Real estate sources and records from the Supreme Court disclosed that in July last year, Mark acquired a 126㎡ unit in the high-end residential complex Brighton N40 for 5.05 billion KRW (about $3.56 million). The property was officially registered in his name in September. An interesting detail is that a leasehold deposit of 3.1 billion KRW (approximately $2.19 million) was established for the unit, suggesting that Mark likely employed a "gap investment" strategy by using around 2 billion KRW (about $1.46 million) in cash for the purchase.
It is noted that the current occupant of the apartment is Kwon Hong Sa, the chairman of BANDO E&C.
Brighton N40, situated at 40 Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam, is a luxury housing complex consisting of five buildings ranging from four to ten stories, with a total of 148 units, including standard units and penthouses. Noteworthy features of the property include the renowned architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte overseeing both the architecture and landscaping, each unit having a minimum of two parking spaces, and a triple-layered security system. The complex has attracted various celebrities, including Yoo Jae Suk, Hoshi from Seventeen, Han Hyo Joo, Oh Yeon Seo, Lee Hwi Jae, Kim Myung Soo (L) from INFINITE, Nayeon from TWICE, and Heo Ung.
Mark debuted in 2016 as part of NCT and has been active in subunits NCT 127, NCT Dream, and NCT U. His solo album, The Firstfruit, was released on April 7 and sold 544,470 copies in its first week, marking a record for the highest first-week sales of a debut solo album by any SM Entertainment artist and among NCT members who have debuted solo.
