YouTuber Tzuyang, also known as Park Jung Won, with a substantial following of over 10 million subscribers, made a brief appearance at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul on April 16th KST. She left after only 30 minutes, choosing not to proceed with the investigation linked to a defamation case she had initiated.

Tzuyang’s legal representative, lawyer Kim Taeyeon, expressed concerns over the fairness of the investigation, feeling that the police did not recognize her as a victim needing protection. They decided to reconsider the questioning process and may return if necessary.

The YouTuber had filed charges against Kim Se Ui, the CEO of the contentious right-wing YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, for defamation, intimidation, and coercion. Despite the case being dropped due to lack of evidence and withdrawal of the complaint, Tzuyang contested this decision and was summoned again following a call for further investigation by prosecutors.

Before her brief visit to the police station, Tzuyang shared how difficult it was to see her harasser avoid consequence, leading her to hope for a thorough explanation to help reach a just conclusion.

Her attorney highlighted that courts had issued temporary restraining orders twice, recognizing Kim Se Ui as a stalker. They pointed out that Tzuyang faced numerous instances of harassment between July and October of the previous year.

A major issue stemmed from a leaked recording where YouTubers discussed extorting money using private details about Tzuyang’s life. Despite her claims of coercion by an abusive ex-boyfriend into adult venue work, Kim Se Ui published a contentious video accusing her of misconduct.

Tzuyang’s team refuted assertions that she willingly withdrew her original complaint, clarifying that the decision to drop a case was strategic for refiling with a more suitable police jurisdiction.

In a heartfelt moment, Tzuyang revealed her determination to speak out and cooperate with the investigation to prevent others from enduring similar hardships to those she faced.
