Beloved broadcaster Park So Hyun, aged 55, pleasantly surprised her fans on April 14 with a heartwarming celebration commemorating the 4th anniversary of her symbolic “marriage” to her radio show.
Photos shared on the official social media page of SBS PowerFM’s Park So Hyun’s Lovegame showcased highlights of a special live broadcast titled “Homecoming Day.” The caption in a playful tone read, “Homecoming Day. Congratulations on the final LaSong♥Radio wedding anniversary,” honoring the enduring relationship between Park and her show.
The broadcast occurred in a spacious studio to welcome an audience comprising of listeners and special guests. Participants such as Heo Youngji, Park Sora, Yoon Jisung, and Golden Child’s Lee Jangjun partook in the festivities. Park, adorned in a cozy and graceful attire complemented by a bridal veil, exuded joy throughout the event. A backdrop displayed the message, “Radio♥Park So Hyun Wedding Anniversary Special,” enhancing the festive and whimsical atmosphere.
In 2021, Park held a mock wedding ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of her show, symbolizing the radio as the groom and herself as the bride. As indicated by hashtags like “Groom: Radio” and “Bride: Park So Hyun,” the event featured musical performances by Paul Kim, Ailee, and Noel. Recalling the occasion, Park humorously mentioned, “I didn’t anticipate it becoming this grand! Listeners used to quip, ‘At least you have your radio,’ whenever I covered stories about love and marriage. Honestly, the radio has resembled a boyfriend or husband to me—we were in a relationship for ten years before officially getting married. Celebrating the ceremony on Black Day added an extra layer of fun and significance.”
Fast forward four years, Park continues to thrive, commemorating the special bond she shares with her show and audience. Her radiant presence and cheerful demeanor still enchant fans, affirming that age is merely a number.
