Kim Jong Kook's photoshoot for GQ Sports was unveiled by GQ Korea on April 14, showcasing his muscular physique and revealing details about his diet preferences. Alongside the pictorial, a video titled "Workout Complete – A Peek Into ‘Gym Jong Kook’ Kim Jong Kook’s Gym Bag Full of Fitness Vibes" was released by GQ Korea on the same day. Kim Jong Kook's images displayed his impressive muscles as he participated in a special feature for Ironstein and Adidas. The video captured his workout routines in the Ironstein x Adidas athletic wear.

In the video, Kim Jong Kook reiterated his belief that eating is an integral part of working out and mentioned his current fondness for indulging in hamburgers, particularly McDonald’s ‘Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese.’ Contrary to the common notion that burgers are unhealthy, Kim Jong Kook explained that this specific burger option contains around 50 grams of protein, making it suitable for individuals focused on muscle building. While he acknowledged that daily consumption may not be ideal, he suggested it as a quick option to fulfill protein requirements post-exercise. Additionally, Kim Jong Kook recommended diversifying food choices for a balanced diet.

During times of low energy, Kim Jong Kook enjoys pasta for its slow impact on blood sugar levels. He emphasized the benefits of simple oil-based pasta rich in protein over rosé pasta. Furthermore, Kim Jong Kook disclosed a comfort food choice of mixing rice into eel soup when feeling drained, consuming the whole dish, including the soup.

Kim Jong Kook also mentioned his use of tissues and wet wipes received as housewarming gifts seven years ago, highlighting his practical mindset.
