Rapper Jeezy has been countersued by his former manager, who claims to have saved the artist from financial ruin, yet was not adequately compensated. Solomon Fornie, in response to allegations of financial misconduct by Jeezy, filed a suit asserting that he substantially contributed to Jeezy's success by rescuing his career and financial state when he was struggling with debts and legal issues.
Fornie's countersuit outlines his efforts in paying off Jeezy's mortgages, managing his business payroll, and securing a $400,000 loan to sustain operations, which he claims has not been reimbursed. He further mentions working for five years without commission and relying on a small stipend linked to an arrangement with Avion Tequila.
The legal dispute arose after Jeezy accused Fornie and Eddie Bridgeman, a business partner, of financial impropriety and impeding access to crucial financial documents in a lawsuit filed in February. Jeezy alleged that unauthorized transactions and misappropriation of funds were conducted for personal gain by the two parties.
Jeezy and Fornie established Agency 99 in 2015 to oversee the rapper's income and brand development, with Bridgeman's SaiSai Group overseeing financial matters. Jeezy expressed concerns regarding Bridgeman's lack of a CPA license, questioning the legitimacy of their financial operations.
Fornie highlights his role in securing significant deals for Jeezy, such as a bestselling book, partnerships with Avion Tequila and Naud Cognac, a FOX Soul talk show, and a substantial publishing agreement. The legal battle continues, with Jeezy pursuing compensation and access to Agency 99's financial records as per Georgia law requirements.
