According to a Hyatt Hotels executive, the company is optimistic about maintaining double-digit revenue growth in India this fiscal year due to the country's growing population and increasing consumer spending power. With a strategy to cater to India's affluent consumers, who are keen on domestic travel post-COVID restrictions, Hyatt, with over 300 hotels in the Asia Pacific, is eyeing expansion in the region, with a particular focus on India. They plan to launch six new hotels in India this year and aim to double their hotel count to 100 in the country within five years. The company sees India's expanding population, urbanization, and the rising trend of domestic travel as key drivers for its focus on the Indian market. Similarly, Hilton Worldwide has also announced plans to increase its hotel room offerings in India fourfold within five years.
