San from ATEEZ is set to return to his hometown of Namhae for the 'Namhae Spring Walk' event in April. The event will take place on April 19 at the Jukbangryeom Promotion Center in Samdong-myeon, Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.
San, the first idol from Namhae, was appointed as an honorary ambassador in 2021 and has been actively promoting his hometown for over four years. He has displayed strong affection for Namhae, making a generous donation of up to 5 million KRW (~3,441 USD) in 2023 through the Hometown Love Donation program. Additionally, he will be contributing as a talent donor to the upcoming event.
The Namhae Spring Walk event will span a 4-kilometer round-trip route from the Jukbangryeom Promotion Center to Jeondo Small Park, showcasing the jukbangryeom, a traditional fishing method recognized as a National Important Fishery Heritage. The event will offer participants engaging activities like a photo event at local eateries, a treasure hunt, and a quiz session, with attractive prizes. Applications are open on a first-come, first-served basis until April 16.
In other news, ATEEZ is gearing up to commence their global tour on July 5–6 at Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon.
