As stated on the official 'Summer Sonic' website on April 9th KST, the K-pop group (G)I-DLE will be making their debut performance at Summer Sonic 2025, a prominent music festival in Japan. The group is scheduled to perform at Tokyo’s ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe, as well as Osaka’s Expo ’70 Commemorative Park on August 16th and 17th.

Joining the lineup is the up-and-coming girl group izna, which entered the music scene last year and has quickly gained recognition by appearing in leading Japanese magazines and dominating national album charts within just four months of their debut. Their participation at Summer Sonic symbolizes their increasing success in the industry.

Another notable act from JYP Entertainment, NiziU, will also grace the stages in Osaka and Tokyo on the same dates. NiziU’s performance highlights JYP’s effective cross-national K-pop strategy and reinforces the company's presence in Japan's music scene.

Adding a live-band element to the festival, the globally acclaimed K-band The Rose, known for their performance at Coachella, will entertain audiences in both cities during the event.

Started in 2000, Summer Sonic has evolved into a prominent music event in Japan, attracting a large number of fans from Asia and beyond. The 2025 lineup features a diverse range of artists, including Alicia Keys, Camila Cabello, Fall Out Boy, and British electronic icons The Prodigy.

The festival will also showcase other K-pop acts such as aespa, KATSEYE, and rapper Lee Young Ji, underscoring a strong Korean representation at the international festival.
