PNC Financial Services Group announced the appointment of Mark Wiedman, a former BlackRock executive, as its new president. Wiedman will also serve as the president of PNC Bank, the company's banking subsidiary based in Pittsburgh. He will report to CEO William Demchak. Wiedman takes over from Michael Lyons, who departed earlier to lead payments company Fiserv. Wiedman, who held various positions at BlackRock, including overseeing global client business, is seen as a potential successor to BlackRock's CEO Larry Fink. Wiedman joined BlackRock in 2004 after working at Morgan Stanley.
