A balloon release event will be held in Atlanta to honor Young Scooter, who tragically passed away due to a leg injury while evading the police in response to a fake emergency call. The commemoration is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Bessie Branham Park on Delano Drive, where attendees are encouraged to bring red, white, and blue balloons to celebrate the late rapper's life. Young Scooter, a 39-year-old Hip-Hop artist, lost his life on March 28, which coincided with his birthday, after sustaining a fatal leg injury while fleeing from law enforcement in the Lakewood Heights area. The Fulton County Medical Examiner determined that the injury, caused by wood or debris, resulted in severe blood loss, leading to his accidental death. The incident unfolded when a reality TV personality named Demi Blanco, a cast member of Zeus Network's "Baddies," made a false 911 call claiming a violent assault involving a naked woman and gunshots. Police found no evidence of such events but encountered Young Scooter and another individual fleeing the scene. During his attempt to climb a wooden fence, he sustained the fatal injury. Blanco, also known as Demetria Spence, later recanted her story on Instagram, alleging that she had been assaulted. She was arrested on April 1 and charged with transmitting a false public alarm, being released on a $7,500 bond.
