Stellantis NV, the manufacturer of Ram trucks and Jeeps, announced temporary layoffs of 900 employees at five facilities in the United States due to President Donald Trump's tariffs. Production will also be paused temporarily at a plant in Mexico and one in Canada. The impacted U.S. facilities include powertrain and stamping plants. The Windsor Assembly plant, producing Chrysler Pacifica minivans and Dodge Charger Daytonas, will be idle for two weeks. In addition, the Toluca Assembly plant, manufacturing Jeep Compass and Jeep Wagoneer S models, will be shut down for the entire month of April.
