Reality TV Star Released on Bond Following Young Scooter Death Hoax
/Article

Demetria Spence, known as Demi Blanco on Zeus Network’s Baddies, was granted bond in Atlanta after being accused of making a fake 911 call that resulted in the death of rapper Young Scooter. The incident occurred on March 28, his 39th birthday, when police responded to the fabricated emergency report at a Lakewood Heights residence. The call, suspected to be a case of swatting, falsely claimed a violent situation involving drugs and weapons. Young Scooter, who was inside the house, fled and sustained fatal injuries while evading the police.

Spence was released on a $7,500 bond with restrictions that include staying away from the scene, refraining from possessing weapons, and avoiding contact with witnesses. Swatting, a dangerous trend where fake emergencies are reported to trigger police responses, has resulted in fatalities across the U.S. In this case, Spence's actions were directly linked to the tragic events that led to Young Scooter's death.
