Proficient Auto Logistics has completed its second acquisition since becoming a public company nearly a year ago. The company announced the acquisition of Brothers Auto Transport LLC, a reputable carrier from Wind Gap, Pennsylvania. This acquisition follows their initial purchase of ATG in August for $28.9 million, which added 76 tractors and trailers to their fleet. Despite not disclosing the purchase price for Brothers Auto, CEO Richard O’Dell stated that the acquisition was smaller compared to previous transactions. Proficient aims to enhance its services and expand its presence in the Northeast by capitalizing on operational and geographic synergies with Brothers Auto Transport. The acquisition is a crucial step in Proficient’s growth strategy, providing access to deeper OEM relationships and enabling the company to elevate customer service. Brothers Auto Transport sees the acquisition as an opportunity to utilize additional resources to further develop their service quality. Proficient's stock performance has fluctuated since going public in May 2024, with Wednesday's closing price at $9.04 per share, representing a 10.38% increase from the previous day. The acquisition coincided with the release of Proficient's first annual 10-K report to the SEC, emphasizing the company's diverse customer base and long-term contracts with major automakers like General Motors, Glovis, BMW, and Ford.
