HYBE has taken a proactive role in assisting with the repair and preservation of national heritage sites that suffered damage in a significant wildfire. Emphasizing their commitment to contributing to the restoration of cultural treasures, HYBE expressed condolences and solidarity with those impacted by the disaster.
The company made a generous donation of 1 billion KRW (~682,892 USD) to the National Heritage Administration and the Cultural Heritage National Trust. The latter, a specialized entity affiliated with the National Heritage Administration, focuses on conserving, supervising, and managing cultural heritage locations.
The donated funds will be allocated towards the reconstruction and rehabilitation of heritage sites that bore the brunt of the wildfire's devastation, alongside efforts to revive the surrounding ecosystems. Notably, damages have been identified in 33 instances, including the well-known Gounsa Temple in Uiseong, a site of great historical significance.
Expressing gratitude for HYBE's support in the recovery and preservation of national heritage sites, the Cultural Heritage National Trust affirmed its partnership with the National Heritage Administration to expedite the restoration actions and ensure the sites regain their historical prominence.
