Domino's Pizza announced a new collaboration with DoorDash, allowing customers to use the DoorDash app to order their pizzas. This move aims to strengthen Domino's delivery business and grow its customer base in the U.S. In the current economy where people are being more cautious with spending, restaurants and fast-food chains have been relying heavily on discounts to attract customers. Domino's, which fell short of fourth-quarter sales expectations, had previously mentioned its plans to continue offering promotions, such as a 50% discount on online pizza orders by 2025. Initially, Domino's had an exclusivity agreement with Uber Eats for online orders that was extended until May. Analysts had speculated about a possible partnership between Domino's and DoorDash for order deliveries. The pilot partnership with DoorDash is underway in specific locations, with a planned nationwide launch in the U.S. in May and in Canada later in 2025. Orders placed through DoorDash will be delivered by Domino's own drivers.
