On April 2, 2025, actor Kim Soo Hyun and his talent agency, Gold Medalist, have begun legal action against the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (HoverLab) and its representative, Kim Se Eui, for alleged breaches of the anti-stalking law. Garosero Research Institute's Misleading Claim: "What could happen when a minor is seen drinking soju at 11:20 p.m.? Did they just drink? Is that all?"

Fact Check: "The photo was taken in June 2018 at Kim Soo Hyun's apartment in Seongsu-dong, where he was spending his vacation with his family. Kim Sae Ron visited during this time, but there was no romantic relationship between them."

Garosero Research Institute's Misleading Claim: "According to netizens, the ski outfits worn by the two were from Descente Japan, indicating the photo was taken between 2015 and 2016."

Fact Check: "On that day, they were at a ski resort with Gold Medalist staff members, and there is also a group photo taken on January 22, 2020."

The agency Gold Medalist has stated that the assertions of a romantic involvement between Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron during their teenage years are baseless. Gold Medalist is committed to pursuing legal action against Garosero Research Institute for spreading false information and related activities.
