Stray Kids made a significant donation of 800 million KRW (~543,839 USD) on April 1 to support residents affected by widespread wildfires in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam. They split the sum, giving 400 million KRW to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association and another 400 million KRW to the World Vision social welfare organization. The funds will go towards providing emergency relief supplies, living expenses for those impacted, and aiding firefighters.
The group, through their agency JYP Entertainment, expressed their heartfelt concern for the individuals who suffered sudden losses and extended appreciation to all involved in the relief efforts. Stray Kids have consistently shown their philanthropic spirit by contributing to various local and global causes over the years. They have engaged in activities like sponsoring children abroad, making regular donations, supporting meals for disadvantaged communities in Korea, assisting with earthquake relief in Syria-Turkey in 2023, and participating in global food crisis initiatives in 2024. Recently, each member donated 100 million won on their birthdays, showcasing a meaningful gesture of giving back the love they receive from their fans.
Concurrently, Stray Kids are actively on their largest world tour, the Stray Kids World Tour. They successfully held a solo concert in Rio de Janeiro on April 1 (local time) and are set to continue their stadium tour in 22 regions across Latin America, Japan, North America, and Europe, with a total of 34 performances scheduled until late July.
