In Spain, Tesla's new car sales increased by 34% in March 2024 compared to the same month in the previous year, totaling 1,983 units according to data from ANFAC. Despite this monthly growth, Tesla's overall sales for the quarter declined by 12%. The rise in March helped balance out the declines seen in the preceding months as per ANFAC data. Electrified vehicle sales, encompassing EVs and hybrids, rose by 47% in the first quarter compared to the same period last year. Tesla's stock showed a nearly 2% increase before trading began on Tuesday. While Tesla is confronting challenges in Europe due to its limited and aging product range, competitors from traditional automakers and new Chinese players are introducing more affordable electric models. The company's CEO, Elon Musk, has attracted criticism by aligning with far-right parties in Europe, which has contributed to Tesla's lower sales numbers.
