Lufthansa, a German airline, has stated that they have not observed a decrease in their United States bookings despite the stricter border policies enacted by President Donald Trump. The company's CFO, Till Streichert, mentioned that their transatlantic business is still performing well during an interview with Boersen-Zeitung. Streichert also expressed optimism for the market conditions in the upcoming years, particularly in the North Atlantic region, anticipating a significant increase in the group's earnings.
In contrast, British airline Virgin Atlantic noted signs of a slowdown in demand in the United States after a strong start to 2025. This observation aligns with concerns raised by their part-owner Delta Air Lines regarding the impact of economic uncertainties in the U.S., such as tariffs and rising prices.
