According to traders, Saudi Aramco maintained its official selling prices (OSPs) for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in April at the same level as in March, while Algeria's Sonatrach reduced its OSPs by 2-7% due to decreased demand in the Mediterranean region. The April OSP for propane by Aramco remained steady at $615 per metric ton, and for butane, it was $605 per ton. Propane and butane are varieties of LPG with varying boiling points, commonly used for car fuel, heating, and as raw material for petrochemicals. Sonatrach lowered its April OS for propane by $10 to $550 per ton and for butane by $40 to $545 per ton. Aramco's OSPs are a standard for LPG supply contracts from the Middle East to the Asia-Pacific region, while Sonatrach's serve as benchmarks for the Mediterranean and Black Sea area, including Turkey.
