Lim Young Woong Donates 400 Million KRW (~272,554 USD) to Offer Hope to Wildfire Victims

Singer Lim Young Woong generously contributed 400 million KRW (~272,553 USD) to assist in wildfire recovery efforts in Korea. The donation, made on March 28 by Lim Young Woong and the 'Young Woong Era' fan club, was given to the Community Chest of Korea. Of this amount, 300 million KRW was from Lim Young Woong himself, while his agency, Mulgogi Music, added 100 million KRW. The funds will be allocated for relief and recovery initiatives for those impacted by the wildfires.

Expressing his intentions behind the donation, Lim Young Woong expressed his hope that it would provide support to those who have suffered losses in their daily lives and are actively involved in firefighting efforts.

Known as a respected singer and model endorsing various products, Lim Young Woong is admired by the public for his positive influence. He has consistently shown his concern for social issues by supporting wildfire-affected areas in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok, Gangwon, as well as providing emergency aid to flood victims and winter assistance to vulnerable communities.

Since 2021, Lim Young Woong has been making consistent donations through the Community Chest of Korea. Additionally, his fan club 'Young Woong Era' is actively involved in the Community Chest of Korea's Sharing Leaders Club, participating in charitable events like volunteering, distributing coal briquettes, and supporting marginalized groups nationwide.

The ongoing dedication of Lim Young Woong and his fan club is seen as a noteworthy example of a fan-driven culture of giving. Fans from all over the country have also joined forces to raise funds for wildfire victims, creating a meaningful and supportive cycle of generosity.
