The police have officially put on hold their inquiry into the incident involving two Japanese women who unexpectedly kissed BTS member Jin during a fan event. The Songpa Police Station in Seoul stated on March 26 that they decided to suspend the investigation into the women due to various factors, such as the suspects' whereabouts being unknown, being abroad for an extended period, or incapacitated due to reasons such as serious illness.

According to sources, one of the women known as Woman A is currently unavailable for questioning but may be accessible in the coming months. Meanwhile, Woman B has yet to be located.

The incident took place on June 13 last year at the "Jin Greetings" event held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, which celebrated Jin's military discharge. During the event, Jin offered free hugs to over 1,000 fans, and one attendee kissed him on the cheek, leading to public debate regarding potential sexual harassment.

After receiving a report from an online user on June 19, police initiated an investigation into the matter under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act. Subsequently, on February 27, the women were officially charged for inappropriate behavior in a crowded public space, leading to the launch of the inquiry.
