Volvo Cars has announced the appointment of Hakan Samuelsson as its new CEO starting from April 1, 2025. Samuelsson, who held the same position from 2012 to 2022, will take over from Jim Rowan, who is set to resign on March 31.

The company had recently cautioned that 2025 could present challenges in maintaining the sales figures and profitability achieved in 2024 as it anticipates a fiercely competitive market.
