Goldman Sachs CEO Pay Disapproved by Glass Lewis
/Article

Proxy adviser Glass Lewis has advised shareholders to vote "against" the compensation of top executives at Goldman Sachs. They criticized the bank for failing to link pay with performance and for granting excessive retention awards. Glass Lewis specifically mentioned the $160 million in retention awards given to CEO David Solomon and President John Waldron. They stated that the proxy statement's explanation for these awards was not thorough enough. Goldman Sachs has not provided a response to these recommendations.
