Director Lee Jung Sub, known for his work on the movie 'Real' in 2017, has spoken out about the controversy surrounding the nude scene involving the late singer and actress Sulli in the film. This comes after Sulli's family requested an official response from actor Kim Soo Hyun's team regarding the circumstances surrounding the scene.

In a statement on March 28, Lee clarified that he had no responsibility for the final outcome of the film, addressing a tweet he posted years ago about a directorial change during production. Sulli's brother, Mr. Choi, shared through Kwon Young Chan that he first heard about suspicious details regarding the nude scene during Sulli's funeral in 2019.

Choi raised questions about the origin of the explicit bed scene, Kim Soo Hyun's involvement, the presence of a body double on set, and whether Sulli was coerced into performing the scene herself. The allegations surrounding the scene have brought 'Real' back into the spotlight, a film that centers on a noir action plot involving two men entangled in a battle over Asia's largest casino.

The movie originally had Lee Jung Sub as the director, but he was replaced by Lee Sa Rang, Kim Soo Hyun's cousin and head of the production company, during post-production due to creative differences. Now, years after its release, 'Real' faces renewed scrutiny over claims involving Kim Soo Hyun and the resurfacing of Sulli's scene.

The director also expressed criticism towards Kim Soo Hyun regarding allegations about his relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron, suggesting it was a similar disgraceful tactic. Kim Soo Hyun faces allegations of dating Kim Sae Ron since she was 16, a claim initially denied by his agency Gold Medalist but later adjusted to state that the relationship began in 2019 when Kim Sae Ron turned 18.
