However, many online users believe that the latest messages shared by HOVERLAB provide sufficient evidence that the exchanges occurred in 2018 when Kim Sae Ron was still underage. One of the conversations included Kim Sae Ron sending a finger heart photo to Kim Soo Hyun. Netizens verified the authenticity of the messages by comparing them to Kim Sae Ron's Instagram photos from around that time.

Another message showcased Kim Sae Ron sending a selca to Kim Soo Hyun while on her way to an event. Netizens matched the details in the photo with a press image of Kim Sae Ron taken on the same day as the conversation. There was a moment when Kim Sae Ron seemed upset about Kim Soo Hyun choosing to hang out with friends rather than spend time with her, but she ultimately decided not to express her frustration.

Various online comments emphasized the need for Kim Soo Hyun to address the situation and apologize if the messages are indeed genuine. Kim Soo Hyun previously refuted claims that he dated Kim Sae Ron before she reached the legal age, specifying that their relationship occurred in 2019 to 2020.
