UBS has confirmed its commitment to staying in Switzerland, as stated by the bank's compliance and governance chief, Markus Ronner. The Swiss Bankers Association had previously raised concerns about the possibility of UBS relocating if faced with excessive regulatory measures. Despite this, Ronner emphasized the strong bond UBS has with Switzerland and assured that leaving the country is not part of the bank's plans. Following the acquisition of Credit Suisse two years ago, discussions about tighter regulations in the banking sector have arisen to prevent potential crises. Recently, UBS has contemplated limiting the growth of its investment bank to meet proposed stricter capital requirements.
