BTS's SUGA, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, and Red Velvet's Seulgi have united to show support for the recovery efforts after a devastating wildfire. The Korean Red Cross announced on March 27 that SUGA generously donated 100 million KRW to assist victims of the wildfire. The funds will be used to provide essential supplies such as food and beverages to those affected. Taeyeon also made a similar contribution of 100 million KRW, expressing her hope that the donations could bring some comfort to the displaced residents, firefighters, and relief workers facing challenging times. Seulgi also joined in by donating 100 million KRW, stating her sadness over the victims' struggles with the loss of their homes and livelihoods. She acknowledged the importance of supporting disaster relief efforts and hoped that her donation, though small, would make a difference. The wildfire, which started on March 21 in Sancheong, Gyeongnam, spread rapidly to neighboring areas like Gyeongbuk and Ulsan due to strong winds and dry weather. The firefighting operations have been ongoing for a week. Reports from the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters indicated that the disaster led to 26 fatalities, 8 serious injuries, and 22 minor injuries. The number of displaced residents has climbed to 37,185.
