French video game company Ubisoft announced on Thursday the establishment of a new subsidiary in which China's Tencent will contribute 1.16 billion euros. This new subsidiary, valued at around 4 billion euros, will merge popular brands like Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six. The consolidation is projected to be finalized by the conclusion of 2025. In mid-March, Ubisoft's stock saw a rise following reports from Bloomberg News that the company was seeking investors for this new venture, with Tencent being one of the potential investors.
