The Secretary of Foreign Trade for Brazil expressed concerns on the increasing global trade tensions due to U.S. tariffs imposed by President Trump. Tatiana Prazeres mentioned that the trade conflicts may worsen before improving, as exemplified by the recent 25% tariff on vehicles and parts imported to the U.S.

Prazeres stated that trade is becoming weaponized and the outcome is uncertain. She highlighted Brazil's intention to form new trade alliances with nations interested in rules-based trade agreements. The country aims to broaden its trade partnerships to counteract the escalating trade disputes.
