The Turkish presidency announced that Chinese car manufacturer Chery plans to invest $1 billion in Turkey to establish a manufacturing plant in the northern Samsun province. This facility will have the capacity to produce 200,000 vehicles annually. During a ceremony at the presidential palace in Ankara, President Tayyip Erdogan awarded Chery officials a certificate of appreciation for their investment.
