The new drama 'The Haunted Palace' by SBS, airing on Fridays and Saturdays, has released images of actors Yook Sung Jae and Kim Ji Yeon (Bona) to showcase their lively on-screen chemistry.
On March 25, the production team shared stills of Yook Sung Jae and Kim Ji Yeon in their roles as Yun Gap and Yeo Ri, respectively, in the drama scripted by Yoon Soo Jeong and directed by Yoon Seong Sik. The pictures capture the evolving relationship between the characters as they navigate their intertwined destinies entwined with a spirit named Imugi, a mystical creature from Korean folklore.
Yun Gap, portrayed by Yook Sung Jae, is a kind young man overtaken by the spirit Kang Cheol. Kim Ji Yeon plays Yeori, a descendant of a famous shaman who opts for a different path as a maker of glasses rather than embracing her shamanic heritage.
The stills depict Yun Gap and Yeo Ri in various moments, from tender gazes on the street in one scene to a more complex interaction where Yun Gap grabs Yeo Ri's arm in another. When Kang Cheol inhabits Yun Gap's body, the dynamic changes, with playful and mischievous expressions evident.
The drama explores the intricate romance between the characters that shifts between innocent affection and complex dynamics, creating a captivating narrative. 'The Haunted Palace' is scheduled to premiere in April.
