T.I. and Tiny Harris Emerge Triumphant as Judge Throws Out Defamation Lawsuit

Sabrina Peterson had accused T.I. and Tiny Harris of harassment and defamation by filing a federal lawsuit in 2021.

T.I. and Tiny Harris achieved a legal win when a federal judge threw out a defamation case against them in Los Angeles. This was due to the accuser's failure to advance her claim.

Peterson had accused the rapper and his spouse of defaming her, causing emotional distress, and invading her privacy. She alleged that the couple damaged her reputation after she publicly claimed T.I. had threatened her with a gun.

During a contempt of court hearing in Los Angeles, Peterson was warned by Judge Michael Shultz about the possibility of jail time. She clarified that she had not intentionally disobeyed court orders when she didn't pay over $96,000 in legal fees to T.I. and Tiny.

Despite Peterson explaining that the $96,000 represented half of her annual income, the case was dismissed by Judge Shultz after four years and 24 days, with the judge concluding that the plaintiff had failed to pursue the case.

Initially filed in March 2021, Peterson's lawsuit alleged that the couple sought to damage her credibility after she accused T.I. of holding a gun to her head. Peterson claimed that the Harrises launched a social media campaign to ruin her professional reputation and cause her emotional distress.

Moreover, she implied that the couple might have been involved in drugging and sexually abusing multiple women and made defamatory remarks about her character and mental health.

In a separate development, T.I. filed a defamation lawsuit against Peterson in federal court, claiming that she made false statements accusing him of involvement in sex trafficking of women. However, during a hearing, a federal judge cautioned T.I. that the lawsuit might be dismissed if he did not properly serve Peterson with the legal documents.
