Hyerim disclosed that the scam occurred while she was buying children's books and called out for not taking advantage of mothers' emotions. She married taekwondo athlete Shin Minchul in 2020 and they have two sons. Her post highlighted the prevalence of scams and reminded people to be vigilant.
