Airbus Describes Next Jet as ‘Evolutionary, Not Revolutionary’
/Article

During an event in Toulouse, France, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury mentioned that the company's upcoming single-aisle jet would be more of an evolutionary change rather than a revolutionary one. Faury hinted that the new aircraft could feature an open-rotor engine, similar to what CFM, a key supplier, is exploring. The focus on ongoing innovation comes after Airbus postponed the development of a hydrogen-powered regional aircraft. This decision was aimed at redirecting attention to current innovative efforts in the industry. The information was reported by Tim Hepher and edited by Jan Harvey.
