SHINee member Onew is preparing to unveil his first English single, entitled "MAD," on April 21st. The news was shared through Onew’s official social media platforms, which released a teaser image for the upcoming track. Fans have shown intrigue towards the image, featuring a dark backdrop and vibrant red text showcasing the song title and release date.

Onew will showcase a unique live performance of "MAD" during his solo concert in Taipei titled "2025 ONEW CONCERT [ONEW THE LIVE : CONNECTION]" on April 5th. The concert series, known as "CONNECTION," focuses on live band performances and has previously been held in Yokohama, Japan, and Seoul, South Korea. Following the Taipei and Macau shows, Onew plans to continue his tour across eight cities in North America.

In an effort to better connect with his international fan base, Onew made the decision to release "MAD" in English. The song features complete English lyrics that are intended to be catchy and easy for fans to sing along to, demonstrating Onew’s gratitude towards his global audience.

The official release of "MAD" is scheduled for April 21st at 6 PM KST on various music platforms. However, fans will have an exclusive sneak peek of the song during the live performance at his concert in Taipei on April 5th.
