The President of Nippon Steel, Tadashi Imai, mentioned on Monday that discussions with the U.S. government about the proposed acquisition of U.S. Steel are in progress. Imai stated that both parties are starting to see the potential benefits of the deal for the U.S. steel sector. Negotiations will persist with the objective of finalizing terms related to purchasing shares and investment requirements, as well as other relevant factors, he further explained.
