In a surprising revelation, Casanova opened up about the unwavering support he has received from Tory Lanez during challenging times, both emotionally and financially.
During a recent interview with XXL from his confinement, the Brooklyn rapper shared how he draws strength from Lanez's resilience in the face of his own struggles. When questioned about his source of inspiration, Casanova quickly pointed to his fellow artist behind bars, Tory Lanez. "Tory Lanez is my motivation because he's refusing to back down from the fight," Casanova expressed.
The incarcerated rapper went on to highlight Lanez's determination and fortitude, particularly commending his resolve despite facing significant hurdles. "He's demonstrating incredible strength with very limited resources," Casanova remarked. "He staunchly maintains his innocence throughout it all."
Acknowledging the doubts surrounding Lanez's legal battles, Casanova underlined that judicial outcomes are not always definitive. "There have been cases where individuals served lengthy sentences only for later evidence to prove their innocence," he pointed out. "What reparations are offered then? None."
Impressed by Lanez's unwavering spirit even post-conviction, Casanova reflected on the artist's resilience. "To endure a trial, face a verdict, endure isolation, and still remain resolute is truly remarkable," he said.
Despite their confinement, Lanez managed to provide Casanova with much-needed support on multiple fronts. "I had a lengthy conversation with him a while back, and he even sent me money from jail," Casanova disclosed. "He assured me, 'Cass, I know you're good financially, but I'm in a position to help you financially.' That's true strength right there."
Both rappers are currently serving time for highly publicized convictions. Casanova admitted guilt to racketeering and drug conspiracy charges related to the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang, resulting in a 15-year sentence. Meanwhile, Tory Lanez received a 10-year prison term in 2023 for the shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion. Despite their individual circumstances, the camaraderie and support shared between Casanova and Lanez offer a glimpse of solidarity in challenging times.
