In May, Oakland will hold a public celebration to honor D'Wayne Wiggins, a renowned musician and co-founder of the iconic R&B group Tony! Toni! Toné!, in his hometown of Oakland, California. The Wiggins family announced this event through a heartfelt Instagram post, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming love and support received from fans, musicians, and global communities following Wiggins' passing. This outdoor music festival, celebrating Wiggins' life and impactful musical legacy, is in partnership with Oakland city officials and will be the official commemorative event. The family will reveal more details about the event soon. Additionally, the family requested privacy and respect as they plan a separate private memorial service in line with Wiggins' wishes. Wiggins, who passed away at the age of 64 due to complications from bladder cancer, was a pioneering figure in the R&B and Hip-Hop scenes, best known for hits like "Feels Good" and "Anniversary."
