Park Bo Gum Set to Star in Kim Han Min’s New Historical Film ‘The Sword: A Legend of The Red Wolf’

According to a report by STARNEWS on March 21, Park Bo Gum is currently considering the lead role in the upcoming historical action film 'The Sword: A Legend of The Red Wolf,' directed by the renowned Kim Han Min. THEBLACKLABEL, Park Bo Gum’s agency, confirmed that he has been approached to star in the movie and is evaluating the offer.

Director Kim Han Min, known for his notable historical action films like 'War of the Arrows,' 'The Admiral: Roaring Currents,' 'Hansan: Rising Dragon,' and 'Noryang: Deadly Sea,' will helm 'The Sword: A Legend of The Red Wolf.' Kim's films are distinguished for their engaging action scenes and historical context, making this upcoming project eagerly anticipated by fans of the genre.

If Park Bo Gum takes on the role, it will mark a reunion with director Kim Han Min after more than ten years since their previous collaboration in 'The Admiral: Roaring Currents' (2014). With the setting two years post the conquest of Pyongyang Castle in Goguryeo, the film narrates the story of a warrior who loses his memory and gets entangled in a fierce power struggle among five factions vying for the legendary Sword of Godumakhan, an emblem of great power in Goguryeo's past. The filming is expected to kick off as early as August.

In the meantime, Park Bo Gum is mesmerizing global audiences in Netflix's 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' and he is gearing up for his return to television in May with the highly awaited JTBC's weekend drama 'Good Boy.'
