Malaysia Aviation Group, the holding company of Malaysia Airlines, announced its plan to buy 30 new Boeing 737 planes for delivery by 2030. The decision to choose these aircraft was made following a thorough assessment of factors like fuel efficiency, environmental impact, operational performance, and technical reliability, as stated by MAG Managing Director Izham Ismail during a press briefing.
