They refuted media claims about him using the "Alcohol loading method" to evade drunk-driving charges, asserting it was a misconception.

Kim Ho Joong stands accused of causing an alcohol-induced accident in Gangnam, Seoul on May 9 last year, where he collided with a taxi and fled the scene. Initially denying the drunk driving accusations, he confessed after 10 days, though the charge was dropped due to the inability to determine his blood alcohol level at the time of the incident.

The court scheduled the second trial verdict for Kim Ho Joong on the 25th of the following month at 2 PM.
