On March 18, a video was released by the Garosero Research Institute (HoverLab), which reportedly showed actors Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron spending time together at Kim Sae Ron's residence. The footage depicted Kim Sae Ron using a massage device on her back while conversing with Kim Soo Hyun.

The Institute revealed that they decided to release the video due to the persistent denial from Kim Soo Hyun's management regarding any past romantic relationship with Kim Sae Ron during a period when she was underage.

Moreover, the Garosero Research Institute cautioned that unless Kim Soo Hyun offers an apology to Kim Sae Ron's grieving family, they might collaborate with the family to release more videos that purportedly reveal Kim Soo Hyun's identity.

In a previous incident in 2018, Kim Soo Hyun had requested Kim Sae Ron to erase their KakaoTalk conversations and communicate with him through Telegram. These messages from Kim Sae Ron to Kim Soo Hyun's phone were later disclosed by Kim Sae Ron's bereaved family, contradicting the denial from Kim Soo Hyun's management.

Dated August 13, 2018, the messages included phrases like “Are you really going to delete all our chats like this??” "This is a call," and "Pick up." One message stated, “This is a call,” sent by Kim Sae Ron after Kim Soo Hyun advised her to switch to Telegram. The family argued that these messages present proof that Kim Soo Hyun's management's denial of his relationship with Kim Sae Ron when she was underage is inaccurate.
