/Article

Lil Durk, a Chicago rapper facing accusations of violent criminal involvement and currently detained at the Los Angeles Metropolitan Detention Center, is set to release a new album titled "Deep Thoughts" on March 28, 2025. Despite his legal troubles, Durk continues to release music through Only The Family, Alamo Records, and Sony Music. The upcoming album includes previously unveiled tracks like "Turn Up a Notch" and "Monitoring Me." Durk expressed his excitement for the album's potential in a video teaser, even as he confronts serious charges that may result in life imprisonment. The allegations suggest his connection to a murder-for-hire plot related to the killing of Saviay'a Robinson, the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo. The trial, originally set for January 7, 2025, has been rescheduled to October 14, 2025, to allow both the prosecution and defense more time for preparation due to the complexity and severity of the accusations.
