Kim Sae Ron's family is taking legal action against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho for defamation.

Today, represented by lawyer Bu Ji Seok from the law firm Buyou, Kim Sae Ron's family will file a defamation complaint with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, accusing YouTuber Lee Jin Ho of spreading false information.

Before submitting the complaint, the law firm Buyou will host a press conference to elucidate the grounds for the lawsuit.

Recently, Kim Sae Ron tragically passed away. In the aftermath of her death, Lee Jin Ho privatized videos related to Kim Sae Ron. He had previously disclosed details about her personal life, including allegations such as, "Kim Sae Ron participated in drinking gatherings with friends during her period of self-reflection," "self-created dating rumors," and "rumors of willful marriage."

On the 16th, Kim Sae Ron's family expressed, "Lee Jin Ho ridiculed the photos we shared because we were unreachable, labeling them as 'self-made dating photos.' He falsely suggested that Sae Ron engaged in such behavior because her understanding of society was solely shaped by scripts and filming sets from a young age, resulting in a deficiency of normal emotional comprehension. He also denied the existence of her family members, who are doing well."

Furthermore, they asserted, "He also claimed that Kim Sae Ron used vulgar language and mistreated staff." They revealed that many staff members attended her funeral, but her agency, Gold Medalist, did not.

In response to Lee Jin Ho's decision to make the videos private, citing a desire to provide Kim Sae Ron with an opportunity and asserting that he had not disseminated any negative content about her—the family rebuked, "What aspects of your claims are based on facts? After making such statements, do you believe that your own family and children accept that your actions were motivated by concern for Sae Ron?"
