The tribute to Angie Stone took place shortly after the devastating accident that claimed her life.

Angie Stone, aged 63, lost her life on March 1 in a tragic accident on Interstate 65 near Montgomery, Alabama. Despite the swift response from emergency services, Angie Stone was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Fortunately, the other passengers in the van survived the collision.

Just prior to the accident, Stone had graced the stage in Mobile, Alabama, leaving a lasting impact on her audience. Her family, in a statement, emphasized her powerful influence on black women and girls.

As the world mourns the loss of this musical icon, a private ceremony for immediate family and friends is scheduled for today at First Nazareth Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina, followed by another celebration of Angie Stone’s extraordinary life at the same location. Keep her memory alive by sharing her music and stories. #RememberingAngieStone
