The world mourned the loss of the talented late singer Wheesung, who was recently revealed to have been secretly releasing music under the pseudonym 'Shin Jin Seo.'
In an exclusive report by OSEN on March 15, it was disclosed that Wheesung, credited as Shin Jin Seo, was the composer and lyricist behind the hit song 'Sandcastle' by Davichi. The track, part of Davichi's mini-album 'Season Note' released on May 16, 2022, was a collaboration with composer Moon Ji Young, known as 'Moon Land Ji Young.'
Despite personal challenges and legal troubles, including a suspended prison sentence and fines for drug-related issues, Wheesung continued to pursue his passion for music. Opting to use the alias Shin Jin Seo, he chose to remain behind the scenes, focusing on his artistry rather than his controversies.
Tragically, Wheesung was found unresponsive at his home on March 10, sending shockwaves through the entertainment industry. At just 43 years old, his unexpected passing left fans and fellow artists in mourning. A wake was held at Samsung Medical Center Funeral Hall on March 14, with a funeral and burial service set for the morning of March 16 at Gwangneung Memorial Park.
In a heartwarming gesture of respect, celebrities such as IU, KCM, Kim Tae Woo, and Lee Hyori visited Wheesung's funeral hall to bid their final farewells to the beloved singer and pay tribute to his enduring musical legacy.
