The music world is in shock as fans mourn the sudden loss of singer Wheesung, whose funeral took place on March 14.
Among those paying their respects at the funeral hall were KCM, Kim Tae Woo, Lee Hyo Ri, Young Tak, IU, Lee Hee Jin of Baby V.O.X, Shim Eun Jin, Lee Young Hyun, Yoo Se Yoon, and more.
Wheesung, aged 43, was found deceased at his residence in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on the 10th. Sources reveal that a family member, concerned after being unable to reach him, found him collapsed at home and promptly called for emergency assistance.
Initially planning for a private service, the bereaved family later decided to open the funeral hall for well-wishers to pay their respects from 11 AM on the 14th. Additionally, a memorial altar was set up for his devoted fans to visit.
Making his debut in 2002, Wheesung garnered fame for hits like "Can't We," "With Me," "Insomnia," and "I Thought of Marriage." Despite a hiatus following drug-related controversies, he was resolute in his dedication to his career. He was set to perform alongside KCM in Daegu on March 15.
The funeral and burial are scheduled for March 16 at Gwangneung Memorial Park, marking his final resting place.
Wheesung's family has requested privacy during this difficult time, urging the media to respectfully refrain from intruding as they honor his memory in a private setting.
