Girls' Generation member and actress Kwon Yuri recently spilled the beans on her weight gain journey for her latest movie 'Somebody' during an interview on KBS Cool FM's Lee Eun Ji's Music Plaza.

In the interview, Yuri shared details about her role as a unique cleaning service worker in the film. "I play a character who cleans up after the deceased, delving into the blurred boundaries between life and death. This role is a departure from my usual image, presenting me with an exciting new challenge," she elaborated.

During the conversation, host Lee Eun Ji probed about the preparation required for the unfamiliar role and any physical alterations made for the character. Yuri disclosed, "Towards the climax of the movie, I confront Lee Seol's character. She is portrayed as cynical and unfeeling, with a poker face. To capture this essence visually, I transformed my appearance by covering my eyebrows with bangs, adopting a more stern and distinct demeanor."

Co-star Kwak Sun Young chimed in, "She even changed her skin tone to match her character."

Furthermore, Yuri shared that she incorporated freckles into her look and purposely gained weight to embody her character more convincingly. She confessed to putting on 7kg for her role in 'Somebody,' all while juggling the tvN drama 'Parole Examiner Lee,' which contributed to her weight gain.

'Somebody' hit the big screens on March 12 and is currently enchanting audiences nationwide.
